Tucked away in the mountains of North Carolina, Camp Buc offers beautiful panoramic views and the chance
to either enjoy nature from a distance or immerse yourself in it.
There are a variety of activities (see below) available for our energetic visitors. But for those seeking rest and
relaxation, you can enjoy the surrounding mountains from rocking chairs on the front porch or through the large
picture windows in Hawk Evans Lodge.

Accommodations
Hawk Evans Lodge: Originally, the barn of the farm that once sat on Buc lands, the Lodge has been
renovated to house your group comfortably. Play games in the main room downstairs or just sit on the front
porch and take in the views!

Accommodates up to 30 in bunkhouse style housing divided into two rooms upstairs.

Full baths upstairs and downstairs.

The Cabins: Our two climate-controlled cabins are available for year-round use.
'Old Log Cabin' (The original home place)

'Lil' Log Cabin'

one bedroom with a queen size bed

Fresh-Air' Cabins: We also have eight 'Fresh-Air' cabins that will sleep a total of 68 occupants in bunk
beds with bathhouses nearby.
Activities on site

Hike mountain trails or explore the quiet streams and waterfalls on the Thompson River.

Go trout fishing in the river.

Try our “Adventure Treehouse” (high ropes course, tower, and giant swing!),

Canoeing

Swimming

Have our staff set up a bon fire for your group to enjoy

Your group can also use our “Chapel in the Woods” for an outdoor worship experience
